Former sailing journalist who tried to grow up, go straight and get a real job. Growing up in the sailing hotspot of Sydney, Australia, I’ve been lucky enough to sail lots of different craft and to win national titles in J/24s, Windsurfer One Design (overall and masters), offshore racers and Raceboard Masters, as well as finishing top three nationally in Laser Radial Masters, Raceboards and Division 2 H/W boards, taking state titles in classes like Laser Radial (open and masters), and doing a bunch of ocean racing, including five Sydney to Hobarts.
Current habitat is the beautiful inland university town of Armidale, living with my wonderful and patient wife and a collection of boats (his and her Lasers, Tasar, Int Canoe, half tonner, J/36, Formula 18 cat) a mere dozen or so windsurfers, a tiny pond at the bottom of the front paddock, some racing bicycles and one or two sailing books and magazines.
